Plaza de Armas, Cooking Class, Conversational Class

Here a few shots of our daily routine. The main plaza is beautiful right now with flowers, the fountain, and several surrounding churches. We like to take in the view from a second-floor cafe, because when we´re in the plaza we are walking targets for vendors and spuma (foam). We spend two hours in class and the next two hours meandering around town with our practical teachers working on conversational Spanish. We have had less rain this week and we are soaking in the sun while it lasts! KC, we have an address for you! The problem is we might be gone by the time anything could arrive- bummer! Thanks for thinking of us and in case you need it, here is an address that would work for us until March 9th and again in June...

Hey Cullen and Melissa!

Andy, Morgan and I are really enjoying the pictures you send. I don't know if you got Andy's email, but I'm pregnant and due in August :D

It sounds like a very enjoyable time down there. minus the few bumps in the road one would expect in a different culture ;)

Though I have been following your photo journal, I finally got around to reading it...all in one sitting. I love it! Absolutely love it! And appreciate this vicarious taste of sights and smells and wet clothes. I can hear the laughter and the peace. You're doing a great job at recording this adventure. And so smart, because eventually those unforgettable moments are forgotten without a little jarring. You have really managed to pack in a lot of experience in a short time and I'm sure we don't know the half of it. I wish I could see the beauty you are seeing in living color, but until that time comes, this is a delightful second best.

We are drowning in rain in Portland while horrific toranados have devastated the Midwest. (You know someone is getting old when they start placing importance on the weather. Ugh! (It was always a favorite topic of Mom's!))

Well, Hannah is studying and I'm wrapping up my day with this wonderful travel log by a young couple from the States. Por ahora, ustedes tienen un viaje de milagros. Adios y gracias por tu escritura.

Con carino,
Karen
